youth-groupSunday School
Between our two worship services at 10:00 AM is Sunday School.  With something for all ages, you’re sure to find your class inviting and age-appropriate.  Jr. High meets in room 204 upstairs and Sr. High meets in “The Big House” (the building to the northwest of the church.)

Jr. High Wednesday Night Bible Study
This is when we dig deep into the Bible for growth. We learn about the Bible and how it impacts our lives. We meet in the Jr. High Sunday School Classroom.  Join us every Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Conferences
There are age-appropriate events going on throughout the year.  Jr. High Believe, ICYC, Church Camp, and CIY MOVE are all events that we have gone to in the past.  There will be other activities for Jr/Sr High students planned throughout the year.

Adult Leaders
If you want to get plugged in to the student programming or if you want to just check out what is going on behind the scenes in the student ministry, call the church office and we’ll get you hooked up with whats going on and how to get you plugged in.

Children’s Ministries

cute-baby-girl-plant-wallpaperOur Purpose Statement
As a family of worshipers of Jesus Christ, we want to encourage our children to KNOW God and His love for them, for our children to GROW in their relationship to Jesus Christ, and for our children to SHOW Jesus to others they know.

Our Strategy

  • KNOW – We want to help our children KNOW God by teaching God’s Word, enjoying Worship and having fun fellowship.
  • GROW –  We want our children to GROW in their relationship with God by teaching them to have Jesus in their everyday lives with prayer and study, helping them to find their God-given talents and teaching them to love and serve others.
  • SHOW – We want to help teach our children to SHOW God’s love to others by creating opportunities to build relationships to those who don’t know Christ and helping them share their personal testimony so others can come to know Christ.

Things Parents Might Like to Know
Our children’s leaders/teachers are mostly volunteers who serve because they love God and children.
Parents are encouraged to be involved as volunteers in our ministry to children.  Caregivers, teachers, huggers, phone-callers, etc. are all needed.  If you need help finding a place where you would enjoy serving, please contact the church office  (765-569-3563).

Sunday School
Sunday School is at 10:00 am, sandwiched in between our two worship services at 8:45 a.m. & 11 a.m.  With something for all ages, you’re sure to find your class inviting and age-appropriate.  1st through 5th grades meet on the second floor.

Children’s Church
This will take place during the second half of our worship service.  During the offering, the children are released to go to Room 111 and we have a service just for them.  This is for grades 1st through 5th.

Welcome Center

First impressions are important.  Personal contact is needed.  Someone to greet you and point you in the right direction is key.  That is why the Welcome Center Ministry is so vital to RCC.  If you would like to know more about this ministry which serves on a rotating basis, please call the office at 569-3563.  This is a wonderful opportunity to better know those who are visiting with us or those who have been with us for years!

Helping Hands

raking-leaves“Have tools, will travel!” is the slogan of several in our congregation who are willing with a simple phone call to repair about anything around the house of those who are unable.  From changing light bulbs to running errands, they are ready to assist you.  They have been “helping hands” to many and want to be your helping hands as well.  Call the church office at 765-569-3563 when you need help, or if you would like to join this group of willing servants.  Helping Hands has cleaned gutters, planted a tree, repaired a broken storm door, replaced electrical sockets, rehung a closet door, re-sided a house and we are capable of doing more!

Adult Sunday School

sunday-school_tSix adult study classes are offered at RCC each Sunday at 10:00 AM.  The BASIC, Cornerstone, CTV , Friendship Class and Kingdom Builders classes are composed of adults of all ages.  Our Young Adult Class (YAC) is for 20 to 30-ish year olds.  Each class offers an opportunity for the study of God’s Word, prayer and fellowship.  Your presence would be welcome in any of these classes.  Currently nearly all the Sunday Schools classes are in a year long series of “What the Bible is All About.”  A  journey from Genesis to Revelation in a year.

Cornerstone – Room 211
CTV – Room 213
Friendship Class – Room 111

Worship

Worship_Image_520x300Worship is more than the music we sing on Sunday morning.  It’s being aware of God’s presence and giving Him glory in ALL that we do.  Worship can happen whenever and wherever we are!   The worship ministry of RCC exists, above all, to glorify God, worshiping Him in spirit and truth.

If you’d like to know more or get involved in any of these worship ministries, please contact Ronna Bemis.

Praise Team Vocalist & Musicians
Praise band & worship teams help prepare hearts for worship. Rehearsals vary according to members schedules.  Music styles blend traditional with  contemporary.

Special Music
Soloists, ensembles, duets and musicians are encouraged to be a part of our worship ministry.  New groups and ensembles are being developed.  Goals for the future include a children’s choir, teen/young adult ensemble, a women’s quartet or ensemble, a contemporary ensemble, and more!

Media Ministry
The goal of the Media Ministry is to help worshipers draw closer to God through what they see and hear.  Lighting, sound, video… the gift of technology can touch our senses and draw us into focus spiritually more than many people realize.  The video and audio technicians working behind the scenes are vitally important to the atmosphere of worship.  Commitment level varies.

Drama
Jesus often used parables to help people understand His messages more clearly.  Jesus’ parables used the familiar things of life to teach spiritual truth.  The use of drama is much the same for us today.  Dramas, whether monologues or short skits, can help draw out an important truth in the message presented from God’s Word.  If you have a “talent for the stage”, and would love to share that gift in ministry, please contact Pat or Ronna.
