Rockville Christian Church is searching for its next Senior Pastor. RCC is a non-denominational, Bible-based, restoration-minded church located in Rockville, Indiana. Rockville is the county seat of Parke County, but RCC serves members from several surrounding communities and counties. RCC is located in the rural west-central portion of the state, approximately 60 miles west of Indianapolis.
Currently, our average attendance for Sunday services is 312 with an average of 164 of those in attendance participating in our Sunday School program each week. RCC has a Sunday night program for middle school and high school students and there are several other small group studies for adults that occur throughout the week.
Our church sits on 5 acres on the west edge of Rockville and includes the worship center which will seat approximately 400 and a separate building housing our daycare and our youth group. There is a pre-school housed in the west wing of the main building as well. RCC also currently employs a youth minister, worship minister, secretary and custodian.
We believe that our purpose here at RCC is to glorify God by obeying the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Through this purpose, we are working to produce disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, ministry, evangelism, and discipleship. We feel that the person being called to the position of Senior Pastor will lead us in fulfilling this purpose.

Roundtable Success

Thank you to all who attended our roundtable discussions for our pastor search. We had about 50 people and will use the feedback gathered to help with the hiring process. Information from this discussion will be released as bulletin inserts over the next few weeks to show what we’re up to as a church committee. Please stay informed and get on board as we seek the new minister.

The foundation of faith built at an early age prepares a child “in the way he should go…” Join us this Wednesday, at 7:00 PM as we focus on current needs and dreams of “what can be” for these precious gifts from God. All current volunteers and anyone else, feeling called to serve in the Children’s Ministry, are encouraged to attend. Bring your ideas! Bring willing hands and hearts! Children’s Church, Children’s Wing, Sunday School, VBS, Wednesday evenings? are just a few topics for discussion.

The Pastor Search Committee is moving into phase two – closing the survey and holding two roundtable discussions open to everyone. Please join us on Wednesday, February 8 or Sunday, February 12 at 6:00 PM. We’ll use the discussions to fine tune some of the survey information and discuss how we can use that information in the interim to move the church toward the vision displayed by the congregation in the surveys.
Soup, Salad and Dessert

You’re invited to join us for lunch following the church service on February 12. The Missions Committee will be serving soup, salads, and desserts and hot dogs/chips for the kids. It will be a fundraiser for our missions budget and the Parke/Vermillion Crisis Pregnancy Center, one of our supported missions. The Center’s Director will be attending the lunch to share information about their work.
Wabash Valley Ladies Unity Night

Maryland Community Church is proud to sponsor the 14th Annual Wabash Valley Ladies Unity Night. The dates are March 31, at 7:00 PM and April 1, at 11:00 AM the church is located on State Road 46, Terre Haute, Indiana. Tickets will be issued at the door and are free of charge, but seating is first come, first seated. Speaker will be Lisa Bevere. We will have a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Center for ladies who would like to go on Saturday morning and then have lunch afterwards.

Registration must be made by March 20 (Jr. High), or March 27 (Sr. High) with full payment of $65 for Jr High and $100 Deposit for Sr. High. Dates for CIY Believe are April 8-9 and dates for CIY Move are June 26-July 1. Scholarship funds are available. Call the church office if you need more information.
