Rockville Christian Church“242” Guest Speaker
David Butts of Harvest Prayer Ministries will be our guest speaker on October 30 and November 6 for our Wednesday night 242. Dr. Butts will be sharing two lessons on personal prayer entitled, “Prayer: Getting on God’s Side.”
Growing Through Grief
A grief encouragement ministry begins November 7, at 9:30 AM. The class will meet for four weeks. Books are available in the office. If you have questions, please see Greg or call the church office.
How I Can Help!
We will need lots and lots of people for a variety of different roles including: actors, costume prep, decorating, decorating, more decorating, cookies, and of course clean up. See Lou Ann Wake or call the church office to see where you can help make this big event a huge success!
One Starry Night
Mark your calendars for December 4 and 5. Invite your family and friends to take a walk with the shepherds, visit with the town’s people, experience the sights, sounds and, smells of Bethlehem, as you journey to the stable to see the new born Baby Jesus.
Blessing Baskets
We are collecting different food items each Sunday during October and November. On Sunday November 10, we will assemble the food baskets to distribute to families in the community. One Starry Night
October 8, at 6:30 PM, an informational meeting for all who are interested in One Starry Night is planned. This amazing event will be taking place December 4 & 5. One on One Sessions
As part of the “get to know each other” process, Jordan would like to set dates to meet one on one with students and families. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the foyer to host Jordan in your home, at the church, or at a 3rd site location for a quieter one on one get to know you session.
Open House
Help us welcome Jordan Shearin, our new youth minister, to the RCC family and Parke County. Everyone is invited to join us Sunday evening, September 29, from 5:00-7:00 PM, in fellowship hall, for a Gift Card Shower in his honor. Light refreshments will be served. Bring the whole family, join the fun, and get to know Jordan.
Women’s Fall Retreat
September 26 will be the RCC Women’s Fall Retreat. Guest speaker will be Cathy Harvey, from Lindenhurst, IL. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Salad and dessert buffet begins at 5:45 PM. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door.
Women’s Bible Study
All ladies are invited on Monday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM. The study is The Jesus You Can’t Ignore. A book and a study guide are available for $15 for both. The group will meet in room #111 of the church building.
