NametagWe have been blessed with an influx of new families which means a batch of new names to grab hold of and remember.  We want to make that process easier by declaring October “Name Tag” Month.  Let’s show our good ol’ hospitality by wearing a name tag every Sunday thru the month of October.  If you’re “new” around here, it will help us get to know your name.  If you’ve been around for awhile, it will make others feel welcome.

Lets’ Get Acquainted

Let's Do LunchThe Elders would like to extend an offer for lunch. If you are “new” to RCC, we would like to invite you to a NewComer’s Lunch on Sunday, October 26, immediately following second service.  It’s an opportunity to meet the staff,  Elders and their families, ask questions, and enjoy a wonderful meal.  It’s also a great way to begin connecting names with faces.  If you would like to join us, please make a note on your Connection Card.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or TreatTrunk-or-Treat is a community celebration that will take place in our parking lot on Friday, October 31, as a safe, fun Halloween alternative.  Folks from our congregation will decorate their cars and park them in a large loop around our parking lot. Each car will have a supply of candy and simple games to play.  At 6:00 PM, the children will come…literally, hundreds will come to fill the parking lot with laughter as they journey from car to car to collect their treats and play games.  There will be food and candy and popcorn and candy and hot chocolate and candy. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the evening.

Discovery

Wednesdays will be buzzing with activity at RCC as we open the church doors for an evening of Discovery.  You will have the opportunity to discover new friendships as we enjoy a family meal together.  The informal atmosphere will allow you to discover names, which child belongs to who, and the vibrant personality of our congregation.  Most importantly, we’ll discover Biblical insights to live by.

Dinner for the entire family will be served from 5:45 until 6:30 PM.  The cost will be $3 per person or a maximum of $12 per family.

Classes for all ages will begin at 6:45 PM.  For the adults, we will be using “The Resolution” as our study guide.  The book is an unapologetic call for men and women to live courageously for their faith.  Our study is designed challenge you to become the man/woman God created you to be.  It is a pursuit of the ironclad character God wants to develop in each of us.  Because of the content of the book, there will be a class for the men and a separate class for the women.  Books are available at the Welcome Center.

There will be classes and activities for all ages.  Following dinner, Jr/Sr High will meet in the Big House.  Our Elementary Youth will meet in the Worship Center for the opening session, then break up into small groups for discussion and lesson activities.  And, of course, a Nursery will be available for infants and toddlers.
