Our Values & Mission

The Core Values of the Rockville Christian Church

We Value:

Scriptural Authority (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Bible is our standard and guide at RCC in all that we believe, teach, and do.

Scriptural Authority Sermon

Transforming Grace (2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:12-14)
God’s amazing grace offered through Jesus changes us from guilty sinners to redeemed Christians.  As people transformed by grace, we want to extend grace to everyone we encounter.

Transforming Grace Sermon

Loving Community (Acts 2:42-47; Galatians 6:2)
We want RCC to be an inviting place where people encounter the love of God.  God’s love is experienced when we worship passionately, serve sacrificially, welcome sincerely, support unconditionally, pray fervently, and give generously.

Loving Community Sermon

Lifelong Discipleship (Matt 28:19-20; Mark 12:30-31; Luke 9:23; Col 2:6-7)
RCC is a faith community where people follow Jesus together as disciples.  Discipleship describes the daily process of surrendering to Christ and putting God and others first.

Lifelong Discipleship Sermon

Devoted Service (John 13:15; Mark 12:31; 1 Peter 4:10)
We demonstrate our love of God and commitment to Christ by serving others.  Every member of RCC should use their spiritual gifts to build up and bless the church and the community.

God-honoring Excellence (1 Corinthians 10:31; Colossians 3:17)
God deserves our very best.  Everything we do at RCC should be accomplished in a way that gives glory to God and contributes to the church’s positive witness to the community.
