Camp Solid Rock

What a great week we had at Vacation Bible School! Campers, Helpers, Parents, Grandparents, and Big People can tell “campfire stories” and recap the highlights of this amazing week. We encourage you to seek out someone who attended Vacation Bible School and ask them to tell you their favorite memory verse they learned, Who is Grandma T?,  What mission did we support this year at VBS?, Were there really bears, wolves and lions at RCC? Did you have a favorite song?, Snacks? What? You had snacks?!?, What did the color beads mean each day?, or what was your favorite activity at VBS?

And where do we begin with the “Thank You’s”? Let’s start with Kevin and Haley Roach. WOW just WOW !!!! Jayci Wicker along with the singers and skit helpers; Patsy Gooch and her helpers; Janett Allen and the Memory Store workers; all the ladies and gentlemen who listened to the campers each day recite their memory verses; Dianna Ross and the kitchen helpers; Darlene Reeder and the registration crew; the Teachers and Volunteers; everyone who donated/purchased decorations and snack items, and everyone else who helped make “Camp Solid Rock” such a huge success.

Just a few weeks prior to VBS, we did not have enough volunteers to staff our program and only a hand full of kids preregistered, but this week we averaged 106 kids a day along with a daily average of 50 helpers/teachers!!! Our key verse for the week, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus”, definitely became a reality for us. What an awesome God we serve, and what an amazing church family we have willing to serve.
