Colossians

ColossiansPaul’s letter to the Colossians was written to combat a growing heresy in the church.  A notion had infiltrated the minds of the believers that Jesus Christ was not sufficient as their Savior and the gospel they had received was incomplete…missing special days, spiritual disciplines, and secret knowledge.  In 95 verses, Paul defends the cosmic significance of Jesus as Lord of creation and head of the church.   Although there are those who claim all religions are true and all paths lead to heaven, Paul would contend Jesus Christ is above all and able to save.
