September 26 will be the RCC Women’s Fall Retreat. Guest speaker will be Cathy Harvey, from Lindenhurst, IL. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Salad and dessert buffet begins at 5:45 PM. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door.
2017 Fall Retreat

RCC Women’s Annual Fall Retreat will be September 21, at 6:00 PM. The evening will begin with a salad and dessert buffet in Fellowship Hall. Followed by praise and music in the Worship Center. This years speaker will be Andrea Dougherty, sharing her personal walk through a life challenging diagnosis and treatment. Doors will open at 5:15 PM. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in advance at the Welcome Center or that night at the door.
Fall Sermon Series

False teaching was beginning to permeate the Colossian church. There was a fusing of Jewish legalism, Greek philosophy, and oriental mysticism with the Gospel. Some were teaching Jesus was insufficient to save. Others were looking deeper knowledge to possess or spiritual mysteries to embrace.
Today, people are not convinced Jesus is the way. They teach all religions are true and the idea that Jesus alone can save is narrow-minded. Pat has began an eight week series of messages from Colossians to expound upon Paul’s defense of the cosmic significance of Jesus Christ as Lord of creation and head of the church.
