Youth Fundraiser Lunch

Sunday, May 19, we will be having a fundraiser lunch to support our youth who are participating in Mission Indy this summer. Lunch will start immediately following our worship service.

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. RCC will be partnering with RAH by hosting a meal packing event on April 28, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Volunteers will set up an assembly-line, packaging highly nutritious dehydrated meals. The meals are made up of rice, soy, vegetables and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. A group of 40-50 volunteers can package more than 10,000 meals in just two hours. If you are interested in being a part of this service day, sign up online via our website, our Facebook page or the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the hallway towards Fellowship Hall. VBS

Missions: As part of our VBS, we will be raising money and collecting supplies for 2 different Mission Groups. This year we are bringing items for the RCC Amazon Boat Mission Trip. We will be collecting: Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Wash Clothes, Bar Soap, Flip Flops, Sunglasses, Muscle Rub, Hydro-cortisone
Along with the Amazon supplies, we are also asking kids to bring daily offering money. This part of our VBS Missions will be going to The Portland Movement. They are a church start up program. The money we raise will go towards purchasing items, for the children’s area of the new church.

If you are interested in going to FAME on Wednesday, August 2 please sign up at the Welcome Center. We will be leaving RCC at 7:30 AM and returning around 3:30 PM.
We are collecting items before leave on Wednesday. There is a tote in the foyer and a list of suggested items at the Welcome Center.

We have scheduled a short- term mission trip, July 14-18, to the Mountain Mission School in Virginia. This trip will be for both youth and adults. If you are interested, please sign up at the Welcome Center.

Join us for lunch next Sunday, March 19, 2017! The missions committee will be having another fundraising lunch next Sunday following the church service. We will be serving soup, salads, and desserts and “tacos in a bag” for the kids.
The Porters will be sharing information about their summer trip to Poland and the work of Polish Christian Ministries, one of our supported missions. The freewill offering will be divided between the Porters and our mission fund. Hope you can join us.
